Sri Nrsimha Caturdasi May 7 2009 @ Radha Govinda Mandir

Dear Devotees and Friends,

You are cordially invited to join us in the celebrations of the auspicious Appearance Day of Lord Nrsimhadeva at Sri Sri Radha Govinda Mandir on Thursday May 7, 2009 This festival celebrates the transcendental appearance of Lord Nrsimhadeva as he appeared to protect his dear devotee Prahlada and vanquish the evil tyrant Hiranyakashipu. The festival will begin at 6:30pm with bhajans, and will continue till 9:00pm.

Devotees are requested to fast from grains and beans until dusk – which is the time when the Lord appeared.

Schedule of Events:

6:30pm – Bhajans

7:00pm – Arati & Abhisheka (Bathing ceremony) of Lord Nrsimhadeva

8:00pm – Glorification of Lord Nrsimhadeva (videos and slideshow presentation)

9:00pm – Prasadam Feast (ekadasi style)

His Holiness Indradyumna Swami @ Radha Govinda Mandir!

We cordially invite you to Sri Sri Radha Govinda Mandir  on Wednesday February 25, 2009 for a special program of Kirtan and Hari-katha with His Holiness Indradyumna Swami.   The program will begin promptly @ 7:00pm with Gaura-arati and will be followed by Maharaj’s lecture + kirtan, followed by prasadam.

His Holiness Indradyumna Swami is a disciple of A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada[1] founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), a sannyasi traveling preacher, and a guru or spiritual teacher in the Chaitanya Vaisnava tradition. Each year Indradyumna Swami circles the globe teaching the message of the Bhagavad-gita and introducing people to kirtan chanting of the Hare Krishna maha mantra. His yearly activities culminate in coordinating the annual summer Festival of India tour on the Polish Baltic coast from June to September. He also leads an annual pilgrimage to Krishna’s holy land Vrindavan in North India during the sacred month of Kartika October/November. Indradyumna Swami shares his experiences and realizations as a traveling preacher in a journal called “The Diary of a Traveling Preacher”.

Urgent Prayer Request for Jagat-pati Das

One of our beloved temple residents, His Grace Jagat-pati das, suffered a stroke on January 6, 2009. As of today, we do not know the extent of the stroke, the Hospital is performing tests.

Thankfully, Jagat-Pati prabhu is conscious and able to communicate.

We humbly request all of our friends, community members, and fellow devotees to pray to Sri Sri Radha Govinda and Lord Nrsimhadeva, to bless and protect Jagat-pati prabhu during this difficult time.

* Screening of the latest DVD release of “Following Srila Prabhupada (Volume 8)”. This volume in the series, puts together archival films of Srila Prabhupada from April – May 1975, showing the historic Deity Installation and opening of the Krishna Balaram Temple in Vrindavan, India.

* DVD Darsana of Sri Sri Radha Krishna, as they are worshipped in temples all over the world

* Sumptuous Prasadam Feast!
